Little Halter black and red

A little baby halter that I had designed for a very beautiful little girl. I really loved how it turned out. It was made for a custom order. When I had started off , I had a different idea. But then sometime ( a bit often actually , with me ) as you work the ideas begin to change and you end up with a totally different design from what you had originally started. This is one of those projects. I loved how it turned out. I should work on writing a pattern for this in different sizes. Maybe in 2015, I will. I love the way it can be folded to like like a little purse !

Little Princess Dress

Little Princess Dress I've been working on this little project for the last few days. I fell in love with it as soon as it was done.So glad it turned out exactly as I had pictured in my head. The bodice is done in soft cotton yarn and the skirt part is sheer soft tulle. As usual the photograph does no justice . I cannot explain it but nothing beats the cuteness of little hand made baby clothes. Or I just LOVE babies and all their cute stuff. I've just put it up on my facebook page too. If you are on FB ,you can check out the page ' Gift A Craft'. All my latest projects are there too.

Another little baby dress in Pink

Another little cute baby dress. This one is for a sweet little 5 months old princess. I'm sure it will look lovely on her. There is also a matching hairband to go with it.This dress is based on the pattern of the lavender dress that I posted last week. The client wanted it made in pink and in specified size. I hope she likes it.

Lavender cuteness

In the all the rush and flurry of the last few days, I did manage to squeeze in a little bit of sane time - the me time to crochet. It is funny how just holding that little hook and crocheting away can make me feel so calm and rested. This little dress and hat are the latest off my hook.

2013 and crochet baby hat

2013 Already ..... I was out of town vacationing when the year changed and I was hoping to come back with a great big , picture heavy post of my holidays etc....Well, that didn't happen. The silly usb with all the pics is still avoiding me . Waited all this time...no more. Time to move on. A lot happened , mostly good , and we had a great time all in all. Couple of weddings , social events, medical issues and a short trip to Ooty, my birthday , the new year etc.... Anyways ,it's good to be back home and settled into to the usual routine. I have a few projects I'm working on currently, almost done. Some are done but haven't yet reached my friends so cannot post pictures yet. So I leave you with a picture...... This is a picture of a baby hat I had finished just before I left. It has removable flowers to match with different outfits. Now I'm toying with the idea fo designing a little outfit to go with it and booties too.

Crochet White and Turquoise baby dress

When it comes to baby clothes .....can anything be cuter than little girly stuff? I've always wished we could find such cute boy stuff too. Anyways, one can only hope :) This one is another baby dress whipped up by me based on some I've seen online. Once again , no pattern as such but the construction is pretty simple. Getting the stitch pattern in the right size was the tough part. This outfit is done in Garn Studio cotton Viscose yarn.I loved working with it and it gives a bit of a pearly glow to the dress. It is not seen in the picture. And of course I could not stop at just one. The other one is made in cotton baby yarn. There was also a matching hairband but I forgot to take the picture of it before giving it off. I'm so happy that my friend loved it and her little angel looked adorable in it.

Crochet baby Tunic dress

A baby tunic dress in crochet. I loved working on this little set and really like the way it turned out. It's done in Bernat bay yarn and has an amazingly soft look and feel to it. I did not follow any particular pattern...basically tried ti get the right shape and size. Basically it is a little variation on my earlier baby dress made for baby V. I had initially thought of adding bows and ribbon to it but then decided that the little bunches of flowers looked better. This was requested by a very dear friend and I am so glad that she loved it.

Granny Ripple Baby Blanket

There is something so sweet about baby stuff, don't you think. They look so cute and tiny little things are so fast to crochet as well. This one of course is not a tiny little thing but being a granny ripple pattern it was a pretty quick to do.
I've used Bernat Softee baby yarn. And I just love the softness of this blanket. Had to stop myself from cuddling into it :). It's a simple pattern but loved working on it.

Pink Ice Booties
I'm so totally crazy about this pink right now....talk about being hooked onto something! I've actually put it at the back of the closet and taken up other colors to work with.
These booties are the last project with pink thread. They are for my neighbor's pretty little baby girl.

I made a few more pocket tissue covers for Arte Craft Fair in different colors ( notice- no pink ? ) These were very well appreciated and a lot of people bought it for gifts. I'm planning on making more in other colors. Something Christmassy maybe ....

Waves candle holder
A votive candle holder with a ruffled doily base. Yes,this is my own pattern too. But then again I cannot take much credit for it as it is not really all that original an idea. I used a ruffled edging to a simple doily and and made a cover for the votive candle holder addind beads to the edging. All in all, I'm happy with the result but I don't think I'll make many of these. The ruffled edging was just a bit tedious. Maybe next time I'll make it a little simpler .....well, it's always a learning experience !
So here it is :

I'd love to hear your views on it. Please do comment and suggest improvements too. I'm looking forward to improve on this project.

Sunshine Baby Halter
There is always an attraction towards the baby clothes! And halter tops for the little ones are probably the cutest things ever besides the baby sandals. This little set is another such inspiration.

Another Baby Halter

It's my own design and was very easy to make. I have few more ideas floating around but haven't found their way to the hooks yet. Hopefully, someday, I'll turn up a whole new baby collection!
